We see, therefore, a close relationship between electrical engineering and electronics engineering. Electrical engineering is also closely related to mechanical engineering. In the generation and utilization of electric power, machines are involved. In fact, the most important prime mover for many processes and for running various devices and machines is electric power. In the civil engineering field, the construction of a structure is accompanied by the installation of an associated electrical wiring system. The application of electrical engineering to all phases of modern technology may be expected to increase with the use of nuclear power and with the trend towards greater automation.
The past few years have witnessed numerous changes in the electrical engineering field. New areas are rapidly being developed, specifically in the field of electronics, communications, automatic computations and control systems engineering. This is reflected in the changes in emphasis and content of the electrical engineering curriculum. The rapid developments mentioned dictate a greater emphasis on fundamentals. Knowledge of trivial details, which becomes obsolete soon after graduation, is subordinated to the acquisition of the firm and adequate background in engineering fundamentals which will enable the graduate to enter any new field with confidence.

Two attractive features of the electrical engineering courses should be mentioned: First, it provides a broad foundation for subsequent and more specialized courses in communications, electronics and control systems engineering. Second, the student who has finished at least the third year of the course and has to discontinue his studies can readily enter any of the minor areas of the field. This include electrical wiring installation, appliance servicing, and motor rewinding, among others.

Industrial Engineering

The field of Industrial Engineering (IE) has developed out of the need for organizations to cope with the increasing complications and pressures in business and industry. The field is unique in the sense that it is concerned with the overall operation of systems, rather than the specialized treatment of particular tasks/processes in a system, which are covered by the other fields of engineering. As the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) has put it: " Industrial Engineering is concerned with the design, improvement and installation of integrated systems of people, materials, information, equipment and energy. It draws upon specialized knowledge and skills in the mathematical, physical and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify, predict and evaluate results to be obtained from such system." The above definition suggests breadth and diversity in IE applications which virtually include the economic, technical and social aspects of managing systems in general. In fact, while it is true that IE related activities have mostly been oriented to industry and business, rient developments indicate how the field is catching up on its other application areas. Many Industrial Engineering techniques are much appreciated as effective tools for planning and operating various programs of government here and abroad. Our own government recognizes the significant contribution which this field promises inline with the country's target of becoming a Newly Industrialized Country (NIC) by year 2000.

bilis ng panahon no? ilang buwan na lang, 4th year na din tayo.. Parang dati, mga musmos pa lang tayo.. Mga pandakin, ignorante sa buhay at nangangapa kung pano ba tayo lulugar sa RISCI.. pero ngayon, sobrang dami nang nagbago.. dami nang pinagdaanang pagsubok at problema. pinapakita lang nito, kahit mahirap tanggapin, na gurang na tayo.. GURANG NA. kalungkot naman..

pero siguro, ganoon nga lang talaga ang buhay.. minsan mahirap, nakakapagod.. kahit daming kelangan harapin, dapat huwag ka mawalan ng pag-asa.. kahit anong mangyari.. tulad kanina..

hindi namin akalain na magagawa namin yun.. sobrang hirap na challenge para sa amin yun.. grabe.. dugo't pawis binuhos namin.. pati sarili naming kaligayahan isinakripisyo para lamang magampanan yun. para bang himala na nakaraos at nagtagumpay kami na malinis ang classroom.

alam mo naman ang kwarto ng hon, parang kagubatan na puno ng ahas. kami yung mga hayop na kahit anong naroon, nabubuhay. higa diyan, buraot dito. kahit anong posisyon nagagawa. basta bigyan niyo lang ng espasyo. galing namin no? ehehe.. sanayan lang kasi yan.. pero sobrang nakakatuwa talaga nang makita namin na malinis na yung room. after one millenium, matatawag mo nang kwarto ung classroom namin. biruin mo, yung mga natira dun ay sinakripisyo ang pagbabadminton, pagjajackstone, paglalaro ng cellphone, pagteten-twenty at pagchichinese garter para lang linisin yung room.. biruin mo yun? napakahalaga ng mga gagawin nila pero isinantabi nila ang lahat nang iyon para lamang sa paglilinis. himala talaga no? =b

at nung malinis na, naging playground at indoor badminton court naman yung room pagkatapos maging forest. may mga tatalon-talon sa isang sulok at may lumilipad namang balahibo ng manok sa kabila. tsaka alam niyo ba, may bagong policy sa bahay honestia. bawal na magpasok ng sapatos! wahahahaha.. pagkatapos ba naman punasan, lagyan ng floor wax, lampasuhin at pakintabin at pagkatapos magmukhang mga ginahasa ung mga naglinis sa sobrang pagod eh madudumihan lang uli yung room? nde no.. kaya ayun.. sari-sariling pagpapaa at dala ng tsinelas..

at sa wakas nalabhan din ung kurtina namin! saya ba? ehehe.. ibang hirap naman ang pinagdaanan nung mga naglaba.. kaya pare-pareho lang kaming todo pagod. kakamatay itong araw na ito. halos lahat ng batang hon naging busy sa kung san-san.. meron sa tableau, sa pagtulong sa mga teachers, sa pagkain, sa paglinis, sa pagassist sa practice ng graduation at sa pag-asikaso ng kung anu-anong bagay. pero kahit ganun, masaya parin.. kaya lang isang linggo na lang kami magsasama-sama.. waaahhh.. pano na yan? ='c
